On Tuesday, 14 April 2026, St. Paul’s Parish became a vibrant space of learning, reflection, and community engagement as it hosted an impactful Agricultural Awareness Programme. The session was led by Mr. Ben Booysen from the Department of Agriculture, who brought both expertise and passion to the gathering.
The programme aimed to deepen the community’s understanding of agricultural practices and their direct impact on everyday life. Through insightful discussion and practical examples, participants were encouraged to reflect on how agriculture not only sustains livelihoods but also shapes the social and economic fabric of our communities.

Mr. Booysen highlighted the importance of sustainable agricultural practices, emphasizing responsible land use, water conservation, and the need for community involvement in supporting local food systems. His presentation invited attendees to consider how even small, local efforts can contribute to long-term environmental stewardship and food security.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared vision for the future. Those in attendance left not only better informed, but also inspired to play an active role in fostering sustainable growth within their homes, parishes, and wider communities.
St. Paul’s Parish continues to be a place where faith meets action, and where initiatives like these nurture both spiritual and social transformation.
