In an exciting new initiative, the Anglican Diocese of George has launched a Community Outreach Program aimed at supporting local families and fostering community spirit.
Introduction
Yesterday, Bishop announced the launch of our Community Outreach Program during a special service held at St. George’s Church. This program is designed to provide essential support to families in need within our diocese, including food assistance, educational resources, and counseling services.
Roll Out
The initiative, which will be rolled out over the next three months, will involve collaboration with local charities and volunteers. The program aims to address pressing needs in our community and strengthen our bonds of fellowship.
“We are thrilled to embark on this journey of service and support,” said Bishop Johnson. “Our goal is to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most and to embody the love and compassion that our faith teaches us.”
The first phase of the program includes a food drive scheduled for August 15, where community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable items. Future phases will include workshops and support groups designed to help individuals and families navigate challenges and find opportunities for growth.
